Very relaxing in a quiet surrounding. I will be back.

Nice clean pool. Comfortable bedroom, good matras, clean, quiet.

Sunbeds on the beach would be very nice.

Exceptional

Everything was fine, the employees were very friendly, always smiling. They willingly provided us with an early check-in and also the last breakfast because we were leaving early in the morning, which we could eat on the day of our early arrival.

The internet connection was very very weak and unusable for work.

Fantastic resort with amazing staff - our favorite spot on busy Koh Samui

The best place on busy Koh Samui: A wonderful oasis with a great location, sunrise views, delicious food, amazingly helpful and sweet staff and so comfortable bungalows! We absolutely loved our stay there again.

Very good value for the money.

Switching back and forth between the beach and the pool. Very helpful, especially for kids. Breakfast was decent, the bungalows were clean and big enough for a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child).

The beach was a bit dirty, but maybe because right next to it, it was an empty beach with a lot of garbage thrown everywhere.

Exceptional

Very polite and helpful stuff, ready to answer any question. Bungalow is located in front of the swimming pool and 2 meters from the beach. It was very clean and tidy. As we had to check in very early, we got breakfast box to go for the next day. The breakfast itself was good, fresh veggies and fruits, anyone could find something. To recommend!

The aircondition was tricky to regulate. I got a cold from falling a sleep sweaty and waking up cold.

Staff very friendly, simple and clean room, quiet at night

We arrived late from the airport having flown from England and staff were very accommodating by making sure the kitchen stayed open for us. We only stayed one night, but it was very comfortable and the breakfast buffet was a welcome.

Nothing- it was perfect for a one night stay on our way from England to Koh Phangan.

I would stay here again and recommend it.

Most amazing staff! Location is right on the water. Property beautifully maintained. The addition of beach chairs would be great as well as cushions for the deck chairs (softer ones).

Fine, but in need of an update.

Location to beach. Staff were friendly and waited up for us at reception due to late flight. Room was good size. Nice pool.

The room felt very dated and worn, in need of a serious renovation. Breakfast okay but quite a few things on the cold side (which should have been hot). Beach either side of the resort had a lot of rubbish. Very few PowerPoints in the room and those which were there were not in convenient location (eg the only place to plug in a kettle was on a ledge on the bedhead as cord was too short to reach any others without unplugging the fridge).

Very nice property Right on the water. Nice spacious Bungalo rooms with ample hot water and good air-conditioning. The beach is basically deserted and feels very private. The only downside is that the town is quite far from the rest of the island which is both good and bad

Great pool, all the bungalows are close to the beach and have some sort of beach-view.

The older bungalows are fine but a bit dated. The breakfast was quite limited and I can imagine pretty boring when you stay longer than two days. There is nothing much but resorts around so the area isn't good for exploring by foot.

Beautiful wide beach with grove of palm trees, nice new pool, staff v accomodating. Once new plantings mature new pool & reception/dining will be more appealing...stark for now. Quiet location. Restaurant food was good & so were drinks. Easy walk to other resorts, restaurants, Family Mart.

Hard mattress, pillows were like pancakes, wifi the worst I've encountered, breakfast not great...1 Thai offering, fried eggs, fruit, muesli, yogurt just nothing very special.

The place is for family or relaxed stay. Even though it was a high season, there were place for all and seemd that were almost alone. Very calm, family-alike atmosphere. 10 minutes walk to night market, several cafes within 2 minutes. View on palms and Koh Phangan and sea is outstanding.

- no sun umbrellas near pool, just sunbeds and hard to hide from sun if kids play at pool - no sunbeds on the beach, but you can use towel - we had ants in our room - I would suggest redesigning 2-bedroom houses’ living room (cupboard and tv from 90’s, green floor with blue curtains seems strange). I would add mini-kitchen and stay there forever;)

We had Deluxe bungalow and it is renovated and qood-looking place, new furniture, we were surprised. Breakfast is quite reasonable, bungalow is 40m from sea. Very nice place in this price-range. Staff is super nice, thai food in restaurant is nice, we loved swimming pool and all the place around, you can have massage 10m from sea on the beach, which is great!

European food in restaurant is not too good, quite expensive, when you compare it with other food and especially pizza is very bad (maybe you should delete it). Breakfast could be made better (even with same ingredience, little bit more effort), but content is fine for this price-range, everything important is there. Maybe more options of pastry would be nice and 100% better coffee(this one is terrible). Sometimes better and faster service at breakfast would be nice, but we were very satisfied at all.

What was the highlight of Shangrilah Bungalow

This is paradise! We stayed in one of the new bungalows. It was the second closest to the beach, but even all the other bungalows are just 20 to 50 m to the beach. We had a great view to the pool and the beach. The bungalow was very clean, also the beach was cleaned every morning. Beach not crowded at all and palm trees for shadow, massage is offered on the beach. Even though lots of bungalows were booked, the complex was very quiet. The pool is very nice, you'll always find a deckchair which are equipped with good mattresses and parasol. You can easily walk to the main street of Maenam. I would highly recommend and definitely go again.

The breakfast really isn't good.

It´s the beautiful complex of cottages few meters from the beach. Friendly and attentive staff, big room, many good restaurants not far from the hotel.

Wifi comes and goes, really poor connection. There is a special charge for using pool! Breakfast is not good and no coffee offered apart from instant coffee (if you want some real coffee you can buy it for 80 bahts). So hard beds that after two nights I got really bad back problems, so I decided to leave earlier.

Great stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful location right on the beach, with a great pool as well. Beach was clean and not crowded. Restaurant food was delicious! Bungalows were spacious and clean. A wonderful place for families with kids or couples wanting to relax!! Would definitely book here again!

What was the highlight of Shangrilah Bungalow

The staff is super nice, helpful and available. The beach is very nice, filled with coconut palms. The swimming pool looks good, but we never used it. The structure is well mantained.

We stayed in two different kinds of bungalows. The first one is recent, clean and comfortable. The second, cheaper one, although it looks good from the outside, inside it's a a little weary and not very charming. But I think it was a reasonable accomodation for the price we paid.

What was the highlight of Shangrilah Bungalow

I would definitely come back here. The staff is lovely and mae nam beach just beautiful and so calm in comparison to other areas in Samui. The cheaper bungalows are already a bit older but still in a good condition. I liked that you can leave your key at the reception if you want the room service to clean your room but you don't have to. Beach is directly in front of Shangrila and the new pool is also a big plus. We have been here for almost a week with our 2 year old, he enjoyed every second - and so did we. Restaurants are just a 5-10 minutes walk away. There is an amazing burger restaurant on the main road and also a very good Indian place. Thanks Shangrila for this beautiful holiday in amazing Mae Nam.

Breakfast could need some creative improvement ... ;)
